Idling Poster draft

  1. The green makes me think of the environment, absolutely. However, with a cloud of exhaust on the poster you might want to take your color scheme to the complete opposite direction... maybe to reds - like excessive heat, energy wasted, etc. (ie more towards "stop" vs "go".)

  2. I agree with Ms. Ciccolo's comments about use of colour - you want to discourage this behaviour and colour can really help you do this effectively.

I really like the suggestion of the shape of the car through the effective use of individual shapes, but unfortunately the visual becomes less effective when looking at the graphic full-size - you lose the shape of the car and in turn the cohesiveness of the shapes. Try creating a very soft shadow in the outline of the shape of the car to very subtly hint at the shape so it becomes nearly invisible at afar but helps hold the individual shapes together up close. Also, work a bit on either accentuating the little imperfections of the individual features, even adding a bit of a paper texture if you want to go for a construction-paper-esque treatment, or really clean up the edges and corners of the shapes for a modern, finished look.
